Background
Through the generosity of Karl Polen and board members and friends of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, the Jemeille Ackourey Scholarship was established to provide support to artistically talented and deserving young men and women.
About the scholarship
The Jemeille Ackourey Scholarship is designed to help talented young people develop their skills in the areas of literary, visual and performing arts.
Application Process
An applicant needs to be referred by a Boys & Girls Club professional or instructor/ teacher that can validate the applicant’s talent in his/her area of interest. An applicant needs to complete an application form and provide family’s financial data, other support from other sources, and family’s level of financial support towards applicant’s skill development. Applications will be accepted once a year for expenses anticipated within the calendar year September 1-August 31. Rewards will be announced by April 1st.
Deadline for applications is March 1 for April announcement.
