Dental Clinic History:
The Dave Pratt Dental Clinic - A Crest Healthy Smiles Shoppe - is housed at the I.G. Homes Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix in south central Phoenix. The Clinic was constructed in 1997 and began serving Arizona's children in April of 1998. The Clinic was created to provide dental care at very low cost to economically disadvantaged children aged 5 to 18 years who do not qualify for dental insurance. Children in need of services are often referred by nurses in public and charter schools. The Clinic also serves children living in foster care, group homes, detention facilities, and homeless shelters. Each year, approximately 1,100 children are seen at the Clinic, accounting for more than 2,500 dental services.
